Berthemont les Bains
When water is a source of well-being...
Hydrotherapy has a long tradition in the high country of the Riviera, discover in Berthemont-les-Bains the only thermal center in the Alpes-Maritimes, for cures or moments of well-being.
In Roquebillière, in the Vésubie valley, the spa tradition dates back to Roman antiquity.
The former resort of Berthemont-les-Bains, named after a hamlet in the town, gave way in July 2016 to a new spa centre.
Covering an area of 4,000 m2, it can accommodate up to 2,500 spa guests per year (instead of 900 previously).
Two major therapeutic orientations have been favored by the Valvital group which manages them: treatment of the respiratory tract and rheumatology.
Protected from the heat wave, in an air of great purity, you can heal yourself while basking in a mountain climate particularly favorable to thermal cures (18 days).
Nestled in a natural setting, the 1200m² Biological Swimming Pool is the meeting place for lovers of natural swimming. Without chlorine, without salt, without jellyfish, this pool filtered by plants allows families to rediscover the pleasure of swimming in a mountain river, with additional surveillance and security. The health context (COVID) requires respect for barrier gestures and rules of social distancing. Discovery of nature
Mercantour, Gordolasque, Valley of Wonders ....
A tributary of the Var, the Vésubie, a torrential river, flows through a valley closed downstream by gorges. Upstream, it is carved into a trough by quaternary glaciers.
The valley presents diverse faces, and the olive trees of Lantosque quickly give way to alpine landscapes. Around Turini and Saint-Martin-Vésubie reigns the mountain forest. In the Gordolasque, Madone and Boréon valleys, the tamaracks lead to glacial lakes, embedded in the alpine lawn and surrounded by the vertical walls of the peaks, where snowfields cling in summer.
Less than 40 km from the Mediterranean, Vésubie offers high mountain landscapes with peaks over 3,000 m in altitude, such as the Cime du Gélas, the highest point in the National Park at 3,143 m.
A diversity of landscapes and wildlife that is well worth the detour: walkers, hikers and mountaineers, from the most contemplative to the most athletic, there is something for everyone!
Follow the "What to do in Roquebillière" route created by the team and discover the points of interest in the Vésubie valley.
